Race and politics have continuously battled in America since before our country’s founding. Many believe we are experiencing one of the most divisive eras in our country’s history, and issues regarding race and racism have come to the forefront of the political strategy and messaging for both Republicans and Democrats.
Is either party truly anti-racist? Why are we so divided? How has race become a political issue? In this discussion, potentially hosted in-person depending on public health and safety guidelines, we’ll work to identify blind spots in the two major political parties when it comes to racism and the use of race in strategy and messaging.

After one year of Race Remodeled conversations, what have we accomplished, what’s gone well and what hasn’t? In addition to sharing personal stories of growth as a result of this initiative, we’ll discuss our plans for the upcoming year and how we’re looking to expand programming in order to move the needle and influence the narrative around racial equity in our region.
